Journal time!
As all of you can see, I have been very busy drawing al sorts of aircraft lately. Very smooth ones, very rough ones, ugly and nice ones. This is all because I want to become an Aviation Artist, not only in pencil, but eventually also with painting.
I wont draw many things that are not related to Aviation anymore (with some exceptions here and there), so if you are going to watch me, please dont expect more cars, animals, people etc.
So.. Having said this, I want you all to take a look at
[link]. Ehangar is an Aviation Art related site, where artists and collectors of Aviation Art come together. So, if you love drawing airplanes as well, I would say sign up, and show your work to all of the masters that take a look at Ehangar.
Oh yes, I get huge amounts of notes with just a few questions, I will answer them now.
Q: What are the materials you use?
A: I use 100grams smooth Skitzenblock paper, and 0,5 and 0,7 H and 3B pencils for almost all of my drawings. The size of the paper is almost always A4 (8x11

.
Q: How long does it take you to create a drawing?
A: Depends. Sometimes I am finished within 2 hours, and sometimes it takes up to 25 hours.
Q: How do you create that smooth shading?
A: Easy, draw slow and use short strokes, and then blend it with a tissue or with a blending stump (tortillion).
